Early Childhood Education Support Project – Classroom Engagement

This image showcases a group of young students actively engaged in a classroom environment supported by our past educational initiative. The children, dressed in school uniforms, are seated around low, circular wooden tables — a setup commonly used to encourage interactive and inclusive learning, especially for early grade learners. The classroom setting reflects a warm, community-based atmosphere with minimal furniture, highlighting both the resourcefulness and simplicity of rural education infrastructures. Despite the modest environment, the enthusiasm and curiosity in the children’s expressions underline the impact of access to structured learning and care.

This project focused on:

  • Providing foundational learning materials.

  • Creating child-friendly learning spaces.

  • Supporting schools with basic furniture like tables and carpets.

  • Promoting early-grade literacy and classroom participation.

School Infrastructure Support – Community Collaboration

This image captures a powerful moment in front of a rural school building — a testament to community-driven development and international support. In the photo, a group of schoolchildren dressed in blue uniforms stand alongside teachers, parents, and community members in front of a stone school building. The visible signs on the wall proudly indicate that the school building was constructed with support from international partners, including contributions from French NGOs, dated 2014-06-16.

The school name, written in Nepali on a blue signboard, reflects the local identity and commitment to education. The mix of children and adults showcases a strong community presence and involvement in the educational journey of the students.

This project highlights:

  • Infrastructure development in remote communities.

  • Collaboration between local stakeholders and international donors.

  • Long-term impact on school accessibility and learning environments.

  • Community pride and ownership of educational progress.

This organization, with the economic support of Inaki Ochoa De Olza, SoS Himalaya, Spain, carried out a relief material distribution program targeting families living in rented accommodations in Kathmandu who had come from various districts of Nepal, and who were affected by the lockdown and prohibitory orders announced by the Government of Nepal during the second wave of the globally spread COVID-19 pandemic. Through this program, relief materials were directly distributed to about 700 poor families residing around Kathmandu.

In addition, under the same program, through the Health Branch of Makalu Rural Municipality, essential medical equipment and supplies such as oxygen gas, masks, and aprons were provided to the Num Primary Health Center and Makalu Health Post.

The program titled “Food and Relief Material Distribution Program for Poor Families Living in Rented Houses in Kathmandu Due to Lockdown and Prohibitory Orders Announced by the Government of Nepal during the Second Wave of COVID-19 – Fiscal Year 2077/78” succeeded in providing institutional support to the best possible extent during the global pandemic.
